Susan Gibson Napaltjarri (b.1968) was taught to paint by her parents who are both internationally recognised artists in their own right. Her father is Yala Yala Gibbs and her mother is world famous Artist, Ningura Naparrula.
Susan is a Pintupi woman who paints stories that have been passed down to her by her parents. They are sacred stories from the Tingari Dreamtime which tell of women as healers and providers within the community.
