Fiona Young Napanangka

Fiona Young Napanangka is the daughter of famous aboriginal artist Tjawina Porter Nampitjinpa, she was taught to paint by her mother and follow in her footsteps with her dreaming’s that was passed onto her by her Mother and Father.

Her paintings depict the tjukurrpa of her country around Tjukurla and Warakurna through beautifully intricate explorations of line and space. They represent the main areas of significance for her family, sites and places for ceremonies and the area to source water and vital bush foods. She paints looking down on her country the rockholes at Yumari, Tjukurla, Punkilpirri and Tjalili and their travels between these rockholes.

Her work is sought-after by collectors and art buyers alike, around Australian and internationally.
