Elay Yunupingu is a Yolngu man, who comes from Yirrkala, N.E Arnhem Land, and is deeply connected to his culture and his country. He is a family man and his works are of a traditional style and colour and mostly depict local animals, birds and fish.

Elay is an emerging artist who has recently moved to Darwin for a time to establish his position in the art world and for the education of his children.
