Debbie Beasley (b.1968) was born on Epenarra Station and now paints out of Barkly Regional Arts in Tennant Creek. Guided by senior artists at Nyinkka Nyunyu, she began painting later in life—developing a distinctive style that shares stories of the country, bush flowers, bush tucker, soakages and traditional hunting.
Barkly Regional Arts is a regional hub for the arts in the Barkly region. Through its visual arts programme, it promotes access, development, and recognition of visual arts practice in the Barkly. The Artists of the Barkly collective represents over fifty Aboriginal artists living in five remote communities across the region: Tennant Creek, Wutunugurra (Epenarra), Owairtilla (Canteen Creek), and Kulumindini (Elliott), Mungkarta (McLaren Creek).
